Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival

Fitz and Bryon McMurry, along with their cousin Steve grew up together in the farm country of northern Cleveland County, NC, singing together since they were small boys. Music runs deep through the family. Their influences run from the classic bluegrass masters to contemporary rock and jazz pioneers. The formidable song writing skills of Steve and Bryon coupled with the arrangement abilities of Fitz, results in a powerful and unique blend of acoustic Americana. Jay Sanders is simply an extraordinary bass player. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, he has lived in the appalachian mountains since 1993 where he cultivates his love of traditional music and improvisational exploration. On both the upright and electric bass, he is able to drive the low end with a vast array of knowledge and technical ability.
