Bob Dylan

Although the poet laureate of rock ‘n’ roll turned 63 this spring, he's having quite a busy year: one barn-storming U.S. tour, two DVDs (including the release of last year's Masked and Anonymous, which he starred in and co-wrote), and one acclaimed archival double-album (Live '64), under his belt, Dylan is using Bonnaroo as the launching point for the next leg of the non-stop Never-Ending Tour, which began in 1988.

The ever-restless legend also seems to be ready for the next change in his career. Trading in his electric guitar for a keyboard, Dylan's sets have continued to explore his deep back-catalogue. Presently pulling material from every stage of his storied career: the political songs of the '60s, the wrenching confessionals of the '70s, and the stunning swing-blues of the recent Time Out of Mind (1997) and Love and Theft (2001) (Columbia Records). Dylan has nightly offered spontaneous and dramatic reinventions of his melodies, continuing to shock and amaze his audiences fully 40 years into his career. The latest surprise, sure to spark a reaction from any Dylan fan, was his appearance in a Victoria's Secret commercial earlier this year, appearing with lingerie model, Adriana Lima.
