Originally formed as a one-off project in 2000, this supergroup – which brings together Les Claypool, Trey Anastasio and the Police’s Stewart Copeland – wound up enjoying each other’s company enough to record 2001’s The Grand Pecking Order, a funky, sinister absurdist tour de force in the tradition of famed wacko Frank Zappa.
