Bonnaroo is excited to announce that for the sixth year in a row, each year since the inception of the “A Greener Festival Award”, we have been awarded the status of Highly Commended by the Greener Festival team for our sustainability initiatives. Highly commended status is awarded to festivals that are well managed, environmentally aware, and have taken significant steps to reduce waste, reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and engage with the audience. Bonnaroo is the only six-time U.S. recipient of “A Greener Festival” award, the international standard for environmentally efficient music festivals, and continues to look for new ways to improve year to year.

The “A Greener Festival Award” is the internationally recognized independent scheme for environmentally aware festivals which is available for events throughout Europe, North America and Australia.
