Back in 2009, former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne took part in a Bonnaroo first: an artist-curated stage. For a single Friday afternoon, That Tent became one man’s ultimate live playlist, as the stage hosted Byrne’s hand-picked line-up.
Today, we invite you to try your hand at a similar task and build your own fantasy collaboration. Imagine for a moment that you could put together your own dream team of past Bonnaroo performers for the ultimate collaboration. Who would you have on drums? Would you have one guitarist or two? We don’t want to get too crazy here, but maybe you’d even have three…
Here’s a list of some of the collaborative all-stars from Bonnaroos past: musicians who’ve anchored SuperJams, made unexpected guest appearances, and generally helped shape the festival’s evolving soundtrack. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is simple: 1) Check out the list; 2) Figure out who you’d want in your ultimate Bonnaroo SuperJam; and 3) Share your dream team in the comments.
Be creative, have fun, and we’ll highlight our favorite supergroup on Facebook.
