What is SuperJam?

In Episode 1, artists and producers look back to the formative days of the now legendary SuperJam, and tell the story of how the musicians and songs were selected. We’ll join the band for the first hours of rehearsal as their dynamic begins to form and the group starts to learn the material. A sneak peak backstage (see above) shows the artists in the last few moments before the monumentally challenging concert while tens of thousands of fans eagerly await in front of the stage. This episode culminates with Jim James singing John Lennon’s  ”Instant Karma,” a perfect way to our eight part Rock & Soul SuperJam series.

With each episode of the Rock & Soul SuperJam documentary, we’ll be releasing exclusive photos taken by Danny Clinch from rehearsals, backstage and the big show. Here’s the first set:
