Dermot Kennedy's debut album is titled 'Without Fear', and it couldn't suit the Irish singer-songwriter better as he reaches the end of 2019. Celebrating a number one album in the UK and Ireland, plus a Top 20 showing in the US too, he is also embarking on his biggest ever UK tour dates, with a huge homecoming gig at Dublin's 3Arena crowning it all in December. It's proof the 27 year old, already known the world over for his bruising voice and bracing lyrics, has charged to the next level.
Thanks to the success of songs like Lost, Outnumbered or the career-defining Power Over Me, Kennedy has gained over 1 billion streams on all platforms and 11m listeners monthly on Spotify alone. He has received a nod in the BBC Sound Of 2019 poll and was voted NPR Slingshot's 'Best New Artist of 2018'. He has toured Europe, America and Australia, and made his debut on US television on the Stephen Colbert show, with a performance on Ellen soon after. His sold-out headline tour shifted 100,000 tickets in 2018, culminating in a career-defining performance at the Filmore Auditorium in Denver to a 4000-strong audience.
He has since gone to have U.K. and Irish number 1's with his debut album 'Without Fear', setting new records in the process as well as achieving gold and platinum sales across the world. His success has seen him most recently sell out two nights at London's legendary Eventim Apollo as well as New York's Radio City, and he doesn't look like relenting anytime soon.
